My current working theory on why it poured on the day of Kiana & Joe’s New York Botanical Garden wedding is: if it was sunny, this venue would have an impossible edge over every other NY wedding venue. I’d be biased forever. Seriously, this place is as magical and beautiful as you think it is. This is, however, not without the help from the wonderful Thirty4th Street Productions.
The day began with Kiana at The Kimberly hotel on 50th street in Manhattan, and Joe on the roof of their apartment. Both locations had equal champagne, and therefor, equal fun. Though, I think Kiana and I were the only ones quoting Tik Tok & Wendy Williams together.
Thankfully, enough time is allotted in the wedding day timeline for us to fight through NYC traffic, and we’re on our way to the New York Botanical Garden.
With the rain behind us, the ceremony took place outside. The chuppah was adorned with the most beautiful red, orange, & yellow roses. The ceremony was rich with not only Kiana and Joe’s personalities, but also their cultures and traditions. It’s always such a privilege to watch people publicly declaring their love for one another. (Plus, they looked GORG.)
