Like so many others, Covid-19 forced Maya & Jake to abandon all of their usual wedding plans, and they got creative. We had an engagement session over the summer and from then, we were so looking forward to the Bryant Park wedding day.
“I think you’re our photographer soulmate.”
These are the words every wedding photographer wants to hear. They came from Maya during our first email interaction when she inquired. I knew then we’d have an amazing time working together – and I wasn’t wrong.
A few months and some readjusted plans later, and now we’re here; Maya & Jake’s day to frolic around NYC, take photos in the spot where they first met, admire the less crowded streets of Times Sq., etc.
“After Jake and I got engaged, my detail-oriented self did lots of research about vendors. One of the most important parts of our wedding for both of us was the photography so that we could really remember our special day and do our best to capture our love on camera.
“Our celebrations were very small, and we were so glad that Melissa was along for the ride. On wedding day, she arrived early, climbed on things and rearranged furniture to get the best shots, and captured every second of the experience, from the planned wedding party poses to the beautiful candid moments we could have never dreamed of.”
“Due to COVID, the pictures were the main part of our celebration. Melissa went above and beyond to make our day special. We are so thankful that fate and Instagram brought us Sava, and we will always be grateful to have these pictures, which serve as unique memories of joy during a pandemic.”
Maya & Jake, I think it’s safe to say we have not seen the last of each other!
It was such a pleasure to photograph your love <3
xx
